Why did my Autosave fail?
The following outlines a couple of reasons why your Autosave may have failed
Autosaves are dynamically calculated amounts which are automatically collected each week by direct debit.
One of the many reasons Upside chooses to collect your saving via Direct Debit is because payment failure tends to be lower than credit cards and as such we believe you will have better and uninterrupted saving journey. That being said, Direct Debit isn’t infallible and payments (Autosaves) can fail.
The most common reasons are:
There is no Direct Debit Instruction in place - this typically happens when the instruction was cancelled directly with your bank
The account has been closed, transferred or is not recognised
There is a dispute from the payer, such as the amount or due date
The bank has put a stop or hold on the Direct Debit
If you believe none of the above applies to you, please Talk to us or email the Upside team at talktous@upsidesaving.com
